What is the Gym?
The Gym is the space inside Fervae where you learn the craft of science communication, practice it, and watch your progress grow.
Welcome to the Gym
You build your science communication craft in the Gym. You enroll in programs, you read short lessons that teach a concept and a framework, you work through a practice prompt inside each lesson, and you watch your progress grow as you move through the modules.
Sparky is your coach
Sparky, the red eight-point star with a face, is the voice of your coach. Sparky greets you on the page, frames each lesson, and walks you through the practice. Sparky never grades you, and Sparky never decides for you. Sparky shows you the move and hands the practice back to you.
The vocabulary

| Practice | A defined drill that gives you a specific result, like a Truth Sandwich or a sustainable posting rhythm. |
| Explore | An open-ended unit that helps you find something for yourself, like picking your lanes or finding your voice. |
| Rep | One practice instance you work through inside a lesson. |
How a lesson works
Every lesson splits into three short pages you click through. The Concept page covers the why behind the lesson, with the research and the reason it matters. The Framework page gives you the how, in the form of a recipe or an open question along with the cautions you should keep in mind. The Practice page hands you a prompt you can work through right there, with a worked example to show you what good looks like.
Tracking your progress
Your active program shows a module spine across the top of the page, marking each module as Done, Active, Next, or Locked, so you can see at a glance how far you've come and what's next. As you finish lessons, the Active tile advances and your overall progress through the program ticks up.
