Accessibility Statement
Last Updated: April 1, 2026
Our Commitment
Fervae is committed to making our platform accessible to people with disabilities. We target conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA and treat accessibility as an ongoing effort, not a one-time task.
We recognize that accessibility is a journey. We are actively working to identify and address barriers, and we welcome feedback from our users to help us improve.
What We Do
We design and develop Fervae with the following accessibility practices:
- Semantic HTML — we use proper heading hierarchy, landmarks, lists, and form labels so assistive technologies can interpret page structure.
- Keyboard navigation — all interactive elements (buttons, links, form fields, menus) are reachable and operable using a keyboard.
- Color contrast — text and interactive elements meet WCAG AA contrast ratios (at minimum 4.5:1 for body text, 3:1 for large text and UI components).
- Focus indicators — visible focus outlines appear on interactive elements when navigating by keyboard.
- Alternative text — images include descriptive alt text. Decorative images are marked so screen readers skip them.
- ARIA attributes — where native HTML semantics are insufficient, we use ARIA roles, labels, and live regions to provide context to assistive technologies.
- Responsive design — the interface adapts to different screen sizes, zoom levels, and orientations without loss of content or functionality.
- Motion sensitivity — we respect the
prefers-reduced-motionsetting and minimize non-essential animations.
Known Limitations
While we strive for full conformance, some areas of the platform may have accessibility gaps that we are working to resolve:
- Third-party embeds — content embedded from external platforms (social media previews, video players) may not meet our accessibility standards. We cannot control the accessibility of third-party content.
- Complex interactive components — some features, such as drag-and-drop in the content calendar and media upload interfaces, may have limited accessibility. We are working on keyboard-accessible alternatives.
- PDF and media content — user-uploaded media (images, videos) may not always include captions or alt text. We encourage users to add descriptions to their media when uploading.
- Older pages — some pages built earlier in development may not yet meet our current standards. We are auditing and updating these on an ongoing basis.
Feedback and Contact
If you encounter an accessibility barrier on Fervae, or have suggestions for how we can improve, we want to hear from you. Please contact us at:
- Email: hello@fervae.com
When reporting an issue, it helps if you can describe what you were trying to do, the assistive technology you were using (if any), and what happened. We aim to respond to accessibility feedback within 5 business days.
Standards and Guidelines
This statement is based on the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). WCAG defines requirements for making web content more accessible to people with disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, language, learning, and neurological disabilities.
Review Schedule
We review this statement and our accessibility practices at least once per year, or when significant changes are made to the platform. Our most recent review was conducted in April 2026.
