Your Data and Privacy Rights

How to request your data, delete your account, and understand your privacy rights.

Your rights

You have legal rights over your personal data. These apply regardless of which plan you're on.

RightWhat it means
AccessYou can request a copy of all the personal information Fervae holds about you.
PortabilityYou can request an export of your content (drafts, posts, citations) in a commonly used format.
CorrectionYou can request that we correct any inaccurate personal information.
DeletionYou can request deletion of your account and all associated personal data.

To exercise any of these rights, email support@fervae.com.

Deleting your account

If you want to delete your Fervae account, email support@fervae.com and request account deletion. We process deletion requests within 30 days.

What gets deleted

  • Your account information (name, email, profile).
  • All your content: saved articles, drafts, posts, citations, and notes.
  • Authentication tokens for any connected social media platforms.
  • Engagement data, analytics history, and training progress.
  • Workspace membership and any associated team data.

What happens to your published posts

Posts you've already published to social media platforms (Instagram, Bluesky, etc.) are not affected by deleting your Fervae account. Those posts live on the platforms themselves. Fervae only removes its own copy of the data.

Timeline

StepTimeframe
Active data deletionWithin 30 days of your request.
Encrypted backup purgeUp to 90 days after active deletion.
Legal exceptions

In rare cases, we may be required by law to retain certain data for a longer period (for example, financial transaction records for tax purposes). If this applies to your data, we'll let you know.

Disconnecting a platform

You can disconnect any social media account from Fervae at any time in Settings → Brands & Accounts. When you disconnect a platform, Fervae revokes and deletes the authentication token immediately. Fervae will no longer be able to post to, read from, or access that account in any way.

What data does Fervae collect?

Fervae collects only what's needed to provide the service:

  • Your name and email address (for your account).
  • Content you create in Fervae (drafts, posts, saved articles, notes).
  • Authentication tokens from connected social platforms (never your passwords).
  • Engagement data from your connected accounts (comments, likes, follows).
  • Usage data to keep the service running (basic analytics, error logs).

Fervae does not sell your personal data to third parties. For the full details, read our Privacy Policy.

For users in the EU, UK, or California

If you're covered by GDPR (EU/UK) or the CCPA (California), you have additional specific rights under those laws, including the right to know what data is collected, the right to opt out of certain data practices, and the right to non-discrimination for exercising your rights. Our Privacy Policy covers these in detail. If you have questions about your rights under a specific law, email support@fervae.com.
